Voice
Voice channels that open when someone needs one and disappear when they empty, and roles that come with being in voice.
Temporary channels
Instead of ten empty "Gaming 1 … Gaming 10" channels, keep one hub. Joining it creates a channel for that member, moves them in, and deletes it once everyone has left.
- Create a voice channel, say ➕ New room, and pick it as the Hub channel.
- Choose the Category for new channels. Empty, they go in the hub's category.
- Set the Name of new channels.
{user}is the member's name:🎮 {user}gives "🎮 Mira". Empty, it is{user}'s room(orSalon de {user}on a French server). - Set a Default limit of people (0 = none).
With Post the control panel in the channel on, each new channel gets a panel in its text chat. Its owner can:
- Lock and Unlock: stop anyone else from joining, or let them in again.
- Hide and Show: take the channel off the list for others.
- Limit: change the number of places.
- Rename the channel.
- Disconnect someone, or Give the channel to… another member.
- Claim: when the owner has left, someone still inside can take the channel over.
Naeris needs Manage Channels and Move Members.
Voice roles
A role given while a member is in a voice channel, and taken back when they leave. Pick a Voice channel, or Any voice channel, and the Role.
The classic use: a text channel only visible to people in voice, for links and screenshots, by giving that channel's access to the voice role. Naeris's role must be above the voice roles.
Commands
Both are set up from the dashboard. Moderating people in voice is done with /voice, see Moderation.
