Messages members click to pick their own roles: colours, pings, games, pronouns, rules accepted. Reactions, buttons or a drop-down menu, with limits when you need them.
Click New role message on the dashboard. Write the message (Text above the card, Card text, colour, image, footer), pick the channel under Post in, then:
Members pick with
Behaviour
| Behaviour | What a click does |
|---|---|
| Toggle | Gives the role, a second click takes it back. |
| Pick one | Members keep only one role from this message: picking another swaps it. |
| Give only | Gives the role and never takes it back. Good for "I accept the rules". |
| Reversed | Reacting removes the role, un-reacting gives it back. |
| Remove only | Takes the role away and never gives it. |
| Toggle, reaction resets | Each reaction toggles the role, then Naeris removes the reaction so the count stays clean. |
Then add the roles and click Post it. The message shows up in the channel, ready to use.
Naeris's role must be above every role it hands out, and it needs Manage Messages to remove reactions in the modes that do.
Each message can have Rules:
12h or 7d. Useful for an "available to play tonight" role.A member who can't take a role is told why with buttons and menus. With reactions, Naeris just removes their reaction. Remove only has no rules, since it only takes roles away.
On an existing message puts reactions on a message that is already posted, yours or anyone's: paste the Message link or ID (right-click the message in Discord, then Copy Message Link), then add emoji and role pairs. /addrr does the same from Discord.
Edit roles on a role message adds, removes or changes its roles, and its behaviour, without posting it again. Its text and card stay as they are: buttons and menus are rebuilt underneath, and with reactions Naeris adds the new emojis and takes away the ones you removed. The kind of message (reactions, buttons or menu) can't change: post a new one for that.
Deleting it on the dashboard (or /removerr) stops Naeris from handing out roles from that message. The message itself stays in Discord: delete it there if you want it gone.

The message builder can also put role buttons on any message, next to other buttons.
