Starboard & counting
Two small things that keep a server lively: a hall of fame where the community picks the best messages, and a channel where everyone counts together.
Starboard
When a message gets enough of one emoji, Naeris copies it to the starboard channel: the author, the text, the first image, the count, and a button back to the original. The copy follows the votes: the count goes up as reactions come in, and the copy is removed if the message drops back under the threshold.
- Starboard channel: where copies go. Make it read-only for members, so it stays a gallery.
- Emoji: ⭐ by default. For one of your server's emojis, paste it as
<:name:id>(type\:name:in Discord to get that form). - Reactions needed: 3 by default. On a big server, 5 to 10 keeps the board selective.
- Count the author's own reaction: off by default, so nobody stars their own message onto the board.
- Ignored channels: messages there never reach the board. Think of staff channels and NSFW channels.
Counting
Members count together in a channel, one number per message: 1, 2, 3… A wrong number breaks the count, and so does the same person counting twice in a row.
- Counting channel: give the game its own channel. Messages that aren't a plain number are left alone, so people can still talk there.
- Start over on a mistake: on, a wrong number resets the count to 0. Off, the mistake is pointed out and the count goes on.
- Let the same person count twice in a row: for small servers where two people play.
- React ✅ to correct numbers: on by default.
The dashboard shows where the count is and the best score so far.
Commands
Both are set up from the dashboard only.
