Logs
A record of what happens on the server, split in five logs you can send to different channels: messages, members, moderation, server and voice.
Where each log goes
Each log has its own channel, or several share one. A log without a channel is off. Create the channels for me makes a hidden category with one channel per log and plugs them in: only Naeris and the people you let in can see it.

Audit log
Moderation and server logs come from Discord's audit log. Give Naeris the View Audit Log permission, or they stay empty.
Deleted messages keep their content
Discord doesn't tell bots what a deleted message said, and Naeris would forget it after a restart. So for servers with the Messages log on, Naeris keeps a copy of each message for 7 days, along with its files up to 10 MB.
When a message is edited or deleted, the log shows what it held: the text before and after, and the images, videos and files themselves, in the log message. A deleted photo is still visible in the log even though it is gone from the channel.
Bulk deletes (a /purge, a ban that wipes messages) come as one log with a text file of every message removed.
Copies are deleted after 7 days. Messages in ignored channels or from ignored roles are never copied, and neither are the log channels themselves.
Deleted messages on the dashboard
The Deleted messages panel, at the bottom of the Logs page, lists what was deleted in the last 7 days: who wrote it, where, when it was sent and deleted, the text and the files Naeris kept. Click a name to see only that member's messages, or pick a channel. Only people with the Manage Messages permission can open it.
What to leave out
- Ignored channels: messages and voice activity there aren't logged. Pick a category to leave out every channel in it. Good for a staff area or a spam-heavy bot channel.
- Ignored roles: same, for members with these roles.
- Ignore bots (on by default): skips messages from bots and the changes they make, like the roles your autorole bot gives.
