Forms
Staff applications, ban appeals, event sign-ups: members answer up to five questions in a window, and the staff accepts or denies the answer in a channel or on the dashboard. Accepting can give roles on its own.
Making a form
Click New form and fill in:
- Name: shown at the top of the window members fill in, 45 characters at most.
- Description: shown on the card with the button.
- Questions: up to five, the most Discord shows in one window. Each has a Question, an Example answer shown in grey, Long answer for a big text box, Required, and limits in characters (At least, At most).
- Open: a closed form refuses new answers but keeps the old ones.
Review
- Answers go to: the channel where the staff gets each answer, as a card with Accept and Deny buttons. Denying can come with a reason.
- Reviewers: roles who can decide, besides members who can manage the server.
- Roles given when accepted: given to the member on acceptance. Roles with moderation permissions are skipped, so a form can't hand out power by itself.
The Answers tab on the dashboard lists every answer, filtered by form and by status (Pending, Accepted, Denied), with the same buttons. Download as CSV saves what's listed, one column per question, to sort applications in a spreadsheet. The overview counts the answers waiting for a decision.
Who can answer
- Required roles: empty, anyone can answer.
- Wait between two answers: like
7dor12h, so a denied applicant doesn't try again five minutes later. - One answer at a time: members wait for a decision before answering again.
Messages to the member
DM the decision sends the member a private message when their answer is accepted or denied. Leave the texts empty for Naeris's wording, or write your own When accepted and When denied with {form}, {server}, {member} and {reason}. When there's a reason and your text doesn't use {reason}, Naeris adds it underneath.
The button to open it
Under Button to open it, pick a channel and a Button label, then Post the button. Members click it to open the form. The card can be edited later in Messages, and any button made there can open a form too.
Commands
Forms are made and reviewed from the dashboard and from the review channel. There's no command to learn.
