Using the dashboard

The dashboard at dashboard.naerisbot.fr is where every module is set up. It works on a phone as well as on a computer.

Logging in

Continue with Discord logs you in with your Discord account. Naeris only sees your name, your avatar and the list of your servers, to show you the ones you manage. It can't read your messages or act as you on Discord.

The server list shows the servers where you have the Manage Server permission. Ready means Naeris is there; Not added yet offers to add it. Just added Naeris? Reload the page.

Finding your way

The sidebar is split into five groups: Server, Safety, Community, Content and Support. A green light next to a module means it is running on this server. The server switcher at the top of the sidebar takes you to another server.

The top bar says whether the bot is online, with its ping, and has the dashboard's own language and theme (auto, light or dark): they only change the dashboard, not what Naeris writes on your server. Its Docs key opens the page of this documentation about the module you're on.

Saving

Changes aren't applied as you type. As soon as something changed, a bar shows up at the bottom of the page with Save changes and Reset. If you try to leave the page or close the tab before saving, the dashboard asks first.

If a save fails, nothing is changed and the bar says why: often a channel or a role that Naeris can't use.

Some panels act right away instead, with their own button: posting a message, starting a giveaway, creating a counter, sanctioning a member. A button that does something hard to undo, like Delete or Close every open ticket, asks you to click a second time.

Overview

The first page of each server:

• Worth a look, only when something is wrong: what Naeris was set up to do but can't. A permission it lacks for a module you turned on, a channel it can't write in, a channel that was deleted, a role placed above its own. Each line opens the page where it's fixed: the module gets an amber light in the menu, the problem is repeated at the top of its page, and a picker whose channel or role was deleted says Deleted or not found instead of looking empty.
• Waiting for you: form answers to review, suggestions waiting, open tickets, ticket requests and open reports, each linked to the right place.
• Setup: the seven basics most servers turn on first (mod-log, automod filters, logs, welcome message, levels, ticket panel, role on join), ticked as you go. Automod and logs start in one click.
• The members, messages counted, time in voice and moderation actions over the last 30 days, with a chart by type.
• The most active members, and the recent activity: sanctions, tickets, dashboard changes.
• Naeris on this server: ping, uptime, and a warning if Naeris can't manage roles, which breaks reaction roles, level rewards and the role on join.

Members

Find someone by name, nickname or ID, or browse the Newest members and the Youngest accounts. Filter by humans or bots and by role, sort by arrival or account age.

A member's file shows when they joined and created their account, their level, messages, time in voice, warnings, invites and who invited them. From there you can:

• Warn, Time out, Kick, Softban or Ban, with a reason. These go to the mod-log like the commands.
• Apply a ready-made sanction, with its own reason and duration. Only the ones you may use are listed.
• Mute, deafen, move or disconnect them in voice.
• Change their nickname, give or take roles.
• Set their level, add XP or reset it.
• Read their history, with links to the proofs, and clear their warnings.
• Keep Staff notes: private notes only people who can time out members see, the same ones as /sanctions note.

Everything respects your own permissions: if their highest role is at or above yours, the sanction buttons are locked, and the page says why.

The Bans tab lists banned users with the reason and, for a temporary ban, when Naeris lifts it. Unban lifts a ban.

Activity

Dashboard changes lists every change made from the dashboard on this server: who, what page, when, and whether it worked. Moderation lists the latest sanctions with their reason. Useful when several people manage the same server.

Commands

Every Naeris command, with a search and a filter by category. Each can be switched off for this server; Turn all off and Turn all on apply to the category shown. When the dashboard can do what a command does, a link takes you to the right page.

Who can see what

Anyone with Manage Server on a server can open it on the dashboard. Inside, Naeris checks your Discord permissions for each action, the same as in Discord: Ban Members to ban, Manage Roles to give roles, and so on. Two things are stricter: anti-nuke settings are reserved to the server's owner, and adjusting invite counts to the people who run Naeris.
